FAQ

May someone else use my race bib instead of me?

Please do not give your bib to anyone else! Each bib has a B-Tag on the back, which is encoded with the participant’s name, age, etc. Allowing someone else to use your bib can create big problems with race results and can impact the outcome for other runners.

May I volunteer to help at FC4 Events?

Yes, and we need you! Here is our Volunteer Application and you can email our Volunteer Coordinator, Charlie Usas, with additional questions.

What is the stroller policy?

Strollers are allowed and encouraged so that families may participate together. Please register only the person who will be pushing the stroller.  Please DO NOT register the rider in the stroller, as that causes problems with our age-based award system.

May I run or walk the race with my dog?

While we are dog lovers, we do not allow dogs to be on the course for various reasons.

May I get a refund on my race registration? My plans changed.

While we understand that plans can change, we would like to ask that you consider that this is a benefit race, which is a fundraiser. In certain circumstances, we may refund on a case-by-case basis up to 10 days before the race start.

If I receive an award and cannot stay for the awards ceremony, may I pick it up later?

Yes, the awards will be at Fleet Feet Malta for two weeks after the event. Please pick it up during that time period.

If the shirt size I have requested does not fit can I change the size?

Yes, if that size remains available after the event. You may contact Fleet Feet Malta for a period of two weeks after the event to check on sizing.

JULY 4th – FIRECRACKER4 and SPARKLER RUN

Is there a cut-off time on the Firecracker4 course? Do I have to finish by a certain time?

This is a run/walk event. We ask that all participants finish in one hour (15-minute miles). However, the Firecracker event and FC4, Inc. promotes health and some of us do not do 15-minute miles. So, walkers, please use the sidewalks and side of roads at the end of the event if your pace requires.

Are adults or older siblings permitted to accompany a young child in the Sparkler Run?

Yes, we encourage this. It is of great benefit to the young kids and the volunteers at the event. Anyone accompanying a young child does not need to register; just the child should be registered.

May young children participate in the Sparkler and the Firecracker on same day?

Yes. If you have a young child who will run in the Sparkler and then ride in a stroller for the Firecracker4, please register as follows for each event:

    • For the Sparkler Run, please register only the child participant; anyone older who is accompanying a young child should not register for that event.
    • For the Firecracker 4, only the person pushing the stroller should register; children riding in strollers should not be registered.

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!
